IT’S COMING SOON…THE ALL NEW FCD VORTEX
Not long to go now to the launch of the new FCD Vortex -the ghost box /portal whihc has taken all the best features of the previous models and put them into one unique device. I have been working long hours over the past weeks in the design and building of the first ever Vortex and I am extremely happy with how it is turning out. Not only does it sound good but it looks good too -in both the mobile version and the home version
There will only be these two versions of the FCD Ghost box in future and no others. I hope the Vortex will be aorund for a very long time and become the go-to ghost box of ghost hunters and paranormal investigators. Why have I deceided to reduce how many different types of ghost box int he FCD range? Well that was down to a couple of factors really. Firstly, with the fantastic popularity of the MK4, I just found that it was impossible to keep up to the hundreds of orders coming in for that unit and still have time to spend on building the other models. I was literally building boxes in my sleep! Being only the sole builder, manager, secretary, and even dispatch organiser in the FCD business, meant that this none stop work at the age of nearly 60 years old, was just a little too much for me at times. I have not had a break from all this work since January 2018. Not even a weekend off!
So, unless I wanted to work myself into an early grave (and then you could all use FCD ghost boxes to try communicate with me…LOL), something had to give. Some don’t believe this, but I have personally built over 500 ghost boxes of various kinds within 10 months -that, I promise you is the truth. And, it has taken its toll. So, in September 2018, I decided to stop production of any new boxes (of any present models) and catch up with the mountain of outstanding builds that customers were patiently waiting for. In two weeks, I have managed to reduce the FCD Mk4 orders from 64 to 29 with the rest being fulfilled in the next two weeks. When that happens, it will be time to chnage and move the FCD ghost boxes into a new era with the new FCD Vortex.
Secondly, with regards the MK5.2, I have been finding it increasingly difficult to obtain parts. They seem to have become obsolete or at least very difficult to locate. So, this was a secondary reason to stop further production of that particular model, which is a shame as it was proving popular more recently with its silent sweep and very clear sounds -somehting which I believe the Vortex will improve upon still.
So keep watching this space in the next few weeks as the FCD Ghost Box range changes. Better things are on the horizon
ANNOUNCEMENT….BIG CHANGES COMING SOON!
The success of the FCD ghost box range has been down to a heck of a lot of hard work throughout this last couple of years, designing, hacking, experimenting and building. This takes up many many hours and lots of dedication as all decent ghost box builders will know. However the ITC field has it’s drawbacks and that concerns those who don’t care about this hard work and steal other peoples ideas for their own to profit from.
I have been thinking about this for a while now and have decided to make a major change in the way I operate and build the FCD Ghost Boxes, so that I can protect my future work better from these ‘theives’…yes, sorry to say, that is what they are.
At the time of writing I have 65 boxes on order to build of Mk4’s, Mk4.2’s and Mk5.2’s. Since 2017, I have completed a further 487 boxes for customers all over the world. I have only had three boxes returned in all that time which is amazing!
But, it saddens me to see that all the time I busy myself with these builds, some others out there hijack the designs and take them as their own. I have even put in place copyright protection, but these people laugh at that -thinking they are clever to ignore it, as if their ‘smartness’ gives them the right to copy and steal.
So, things have to change and they will. This change will come about as soon as all the outstanding orders for FCD ghost boxes have been fulfilled, so it’ll be about a month away if not sooner. I work hard!…..
Future FCD ghost boxes will have features that are so unique that it will be impossible to copy them. My present problem is that I rely on the cases that are readilly available to buy on the net and others know this. They buy my boxes, take them apart and copy the layouts and parts involved to source and make their own. But, there is a way to stop this and I will be implementing it soon.
The FCD Ghost Boxes will go on and I hope their success will grow -within the ethics of making ghost boxes available at an affordable price as I have always done so – in this new format.
Let me make on thing absolutely certain. I will share ideas with anyone who is decent, honest and respects the work of others. I have always been like that. And, in the last two years I have done, sharing ideas with other ITC colleagues and builders and they ahve equally shared their ideas with me for which I have always been grateful -and they know that. The way ITC will progress is for us to carry on in this way….but with respect, something these opportunist ‘theives’ certainly lack.
So, more news coming on this soon -it’s going to be a very positive way forward for FCD Ghost Boxes.
Best Wishes, Nigel.
Great FCD validation in Ghost Box session with GHOST SEARCHERS IRELAND
The FCD MK4 keeps getting great reviews and is the most popular of all the boxes that I make now. This from a paranormal investigator in Scotland:
‘Hi Nigel received Fcd MK4 unit, fantastic piece of kit. Saw your videos too. I my self run a paranormal group up in Scotland over forty years of experience in the field from early age to present paranormal investigator and also a rescue medium experience in demonology too and a lot of the time spirits and entity’s communicate with me. Good understanding with the spirit realm and my guides descendants, Knights Templar and a lot more we have encountered. A lot of spirits who come through portals and show themselves, most of the time giving them respect and some who disrespect us are negative, but I know when we are in there presence . People ask me why do spirits and entities come to you and not us? Everyone has there own way of communication with the spirit realm. Thank you for making this unit, much appreciated and all the best, Alan.
I placed my order for the new box. I love my other fcd’s. I’m very excited for the new box.
Best regards, gil”
Customers who have bought the FCD from me have been giving valuable input too. They have said that it would be better if the unit was more portable, if it could include a way to charge a battery when on the move, and the inclusion of a dual DC-Battery system. Well, I listed to you all and have now included all of these in the new Mk4 -On Site version. Anyone who is waiting for their order for a build to be fulfilled, will receive the latest 3.1 version (with all of these extras) included at no extra charge -unless they still want the older 3.1 unit.
There is a new slant on the overall look of the unit too, but keeping in lines with the Mk3 as it was. The front panel has had an upgrade to plastic and now includes a sweep switch button and a new radio control fascia. Cosmetically the unit looks a lot nicer too with a natural wood stain and varnish finish surrounds and control knobs, instruments are clearly marked. The wooden box is protected by metal brass-coloured corner guards on the rear and a sturdy black metal speaker grille on the front . What I feel will be the most useful addition is the 5V USB connector port which will allow the enclosed lithium battery to be charged up while inside the FCD, while the radio unit itself is powered by a 9 Volts battery to give the amp and reverb/echo that extra bit of oomph!
The Mk4 -On Site FCD is able to play ghost box apps to through it’s three ports: USB, AUX and TF Card Reader. The unit can also be paired up with i-phones using its bluetooth technology.
