We are building these Tesla Spirit Radio’s on an occasional basis. If you see one for sale on the FCD website, then it is available, but we will not be taking pre-orders for these are we simply do not have time at present to build to stock.
About the FCD Tesla ‘Spooky’ Spirit Radio:
‘In the early 1900s, electrical pioneer Nikola Tesla supposedly created a “crystal radio” that could channel the spirit realm. While many people cried foul and claimed his invention was bogus, he was convinced that he was receiving sounds from other dimensions and even other planets too!’
Tesla stated in 1901, ‘”My first observations positively terrified me, as there was present in them something mysterious, not to say supernatural, and I was alone in my laboratory at night… The sounds I am listening to at first sound like human voices conversing back and forth in a language I cannot understand.”
This kind of spirit box creates sounds by responding to input from several types of electromagnetic sources. This non-powered radio plugs right into the computer sound-in jack, and makes use of audio software for real time sound effects. It works in a manner which is more like EVPs or white noise phenomenon as is different to Hacked Radio based ghost boxes. The two should not be confused.
The FCD version of this crystal radio set up is a little different than others out there. Nigel has used modern tech and mixed it up with the kinds that Tesla used so as to bring about a unique experience and hopefully better results! He even incorporates an actual wound crystal point in the circuitry.
In a lovely wooden box with hinged lid, the two wound antennas lay flat when not in use and the connecting cable which comes with the kit, is held in place under a clip. All you need to do is lift the lid of the box so that the geranium diode is open to the elements, plug in the two antennas and connect the device to your computer running Audacity (free PC software) to listen to and enhance your recordings.
To obtain good results can rely on many factors, but this device remains a good experimental tool and often brings about surprising sounds and voices not easily heard, if at all, with the human ear. We advise you do your own research with the Tesla ‘Spooky’ Spirit Radio on the internet as there are quite a few good avenues of thought which will help you.
